We make it a tradition where we go on an annual October vacation with friends. Life is short and making time for friends is important, before things gets too hectic and we run out of time! Last year we were in Greece, where we spent a week traveling from Meteora, Athens, and Santorini (absolutely gorgeous!). This year we planned an Italy vacation! We traveled from North to South: from Venice to Florence to the Amalfi coast. For the Amalfi cost, we stayed in the beautiful and small town of Positano, where the views were magnificent and the pastel colors of the buildings matched beautifully with their pink sunsets. The sunset views were stunning, and it was always sunny and clear. We had several days along the Amalfi coast and used Positano as our home base. We traveled to different coastal towns by ferry and by bus. Ravello was absolutely gorgeous! We visited Villa Rufolo and, of course, the Terrace of Infiinity at Villa Cimbrone. The lush gardens and the views of the coast line from both villas are not to be missed! On the last day, we hiked the Path of Gods starting from Bomerano and hiking down back to our home in Positano. It wasn’t as tiring as I thought it would have been – but it certainly was hot with the Mediterranean sun beating down on us from the mountain tops!
On one of our last days there, I also did a shoot for Metoo and Jonathan. Although it was drizzling in Florence when we did their wedding shoot, the weather cooperated along the sunny south side of Italy!
Italy is SO stunning and SO photogenic. The only thing that could beat its views is the DROOL WORTHY food! I think my favorite was the pizza we had was at a restaurant in Positano, called the Diavolo. It was the BEST pizza I have ever had! Plus I had a tiramisu every single day!
