This is by far one of the most magical golf courses in Ontario and I’m so happy to be able to photograph this Eagle’s Nest Golf Club Wedding for Jessica and Andy! The sunset here is just unreal and the light hits the rolling hills at just the perfect spot. We started the day out at Jess’ family home for a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony and then headed off to Andy’s place to do the same. Sometimes we do tea ceremonies at the bride and groom’s family homes, and sometimes it is all done at the venue – both are great options and, a lot of the time, it depends on the family too! I love tea ceremonies because if you know me…I love tea..and tea sets haha So I’m always looking to see if there’s a cool tea set around! And the best part is all that gold that the bride and groom receives, it’s so ridiculously cool (see the first image below, look at the huge gold piggy necklace on her neck – coolest thing ever!!!).
Off we went to Eagle’s Nest for their portraits, ceremony and reception! We chose to do the bride’s getting ready shots right by the window in the main dining hall because…OMG LOOK AT THOSE WINDOWS. I don’t think I need to explain anything else haha, it’s just gorgeous in there! And did I mention that it was a hot day, and I mean…scorching hot! I felt terrible for them because they must have been burnt by then, especially Andy because he had a 3-piece suit on!
My fave part of the day was when we took them out for sunset photos. The lighting was perfect and the weather cooled down a bit so we were not sweating bullets by that time! You two looked amazing and we had such a fun day with you two! This Eagle’s Nest Golf Club wedding was so memorable, and I can’t wait to edit all the images for you two! MUAH!
