I decided to do a really simple blog post about the makeup that I use before every shoot. I try to keep my routine super simple and quick because the majority of my weddings start pretty early in the morning and I want to take advantage of every extra minute of sleep that I can! The most important thing for me is to make sure that nothing runs on my face and, ideally, that my makeup stays put (but honestly, after 10 hours of work…nothing ever stays on my face haha). If you know me, you’ll know that I’m a makeup addict and Sephora is basically my ToysRus! All the pretty lights and new products just draw me in and I can spend hours in there! And, somehow, even though I don’t need to buy anything, I always end up walking out with something.

So here are my thoughts on the below products:

I’m a fan of a little bit of an orangey blush colour on the cheeks, just so I don’t look dead when I arrive at my couple’s place haha. Do I really really love this blush from Clinique…? Not really, because it doesn’t come with a brush and I’m lazy so I like all my products to come with brushes!

So I’ve tried many many concealers before and I always end up coming back to this one by Tarte! It’s super creamy and the coverage is ridiculous! A teeny tiny bit goes a VERY long way and this tube lasts forever! It doesn’t crease, but I do find it a little bit on the oily side. But it’s still magic in small tube!

Ok…so I must confess, that I didn’t know that brows were that important until recently. I can’t say that my brows are thick (in fact I wish I had the straight thick brows), so I really need to draw them in to make them even..exist haha. Someone please teach me how to shape and draw my brows – it’s the one thing that I can’t seem to figure out :(. This brow pencil is not bad! I like this dark shade of brown and it comes with that little comb thingy at the end too. Would I rebuy again?…I don’t know, I’ll probably try something else just to see.

OMGGGGG I CANNOT PUT ON EYE LINER WITH OUT THIS! Urban Decay made this magic primer potion for your eyes and it’s sooooo good! So my eyelids do get oily and EVERYTHING…AND I MEAN EVERYTHING runs on my face. So within like 30mins, my eyeliner would be running, everything smudges…but with this! OMG everything stays put and it lasts the whole day. Yes you heard me, the WHOLE FRIGGIN DAY!
This cute little pencil I use on the inner corner or my eye. I got this in Japan I think! It’s neat but I think I can easily find a replacement anywhere.
So I’ve tried many many different types of foundation before and, by far, this Shu Uemura Lightbulb foundation is the absolute best! It has great coverage and it does last a long time! Paired with the Shu Uemura Booster, this foundation stays out for almost the entire day (assuming I don’t rub my face with my hands haha). The sponge that it comes with sucks IMO, but their new Petal Brush is a must have as well!

I’ve also tried a gajillion eye liners and this one is the best so far. The pointy tip is perfect for drawing on the finer lines and it lasts forever too! It doesn’t smudge like the others do and paired with the UD primer it’s the ultimate combo!

I don’t use eye shadow too often because I’m super lazy, so this small palette from Lancome is perfect for me. Just a little bit of pink tones on my eyelids and I’m good to go!
