Visit Azores in Portugal – Day 4

Our last day in Azores, can’t believe time flew by so fast! We woke up bright and a local Azores photographer, José Borges, picked us up and showed us some of the prettiest scenes in Sao Miguel.

Tea Plantation in Azores

We headed over to a local Tea Planation to visit their facilities and local teas. I’ve never been to a tea planation before so this was quite an eye opening experience.

And of course, selfies against this beautiful backdrop was a must!

This is basically what Azores look like every corner you turn! It’s just spectacular.

Have you ever seen maple leaves of this size before?! These are maple leaves…right?!

If you don’t know me, just know that I have an obsession with tea! So this tea planation was my kind of place!

Waterfall at Parque Natural da Ribeira dos Caldeiroes

The area around the waterfall is filled with lush greenery and oversized hydrangeas. José Borges showed us this piece of paradise and took some fun photos of us too!

Look at that glorious light coming in!

A 5min drive away from the waterfall and we were hit with a patch of thick fog! The weather is very unpredictable here.

View Point from Miradouro da Ponta do Sossego

This quiet garden on top of the mountain had some of the most unique vegetation I’ve ever seen. The view point from Miradouro da Ponta do Sossego in Sao Miguel is a great place for bride and groom photos and even engagement photos too! Take a look at that weird looking plant below with the bulb.

Some furry friends decided to join us on this tour!

Can’t have lunch without drinks!

Spa Day at Furnas Boutique Hotel

And we ended our last day here at the Furnas Boutique Hotel! They have a very inviting indoor and outdoor thermal pool, steam room and sauna. It’s quite the spa treatment! I highly recommend coming to this hotel to relax, unwind and just let the thermal pool recharge you.
