The Arlington Estate

This Wizard of Oz wedding photoshoot at the Arlington Estate is like a childhood dream come true! I remember watching Wizard of Oz when I was young and to see it come to life was like…wow! And to top it off, I get to bring in my toypoodle, Mojo as the model! He’s ToTo! Too bad I didn’t have enough time bring him to the groomers before the shoot, but I guess ToTo was also pretty scruffy looking too in the movie.

My fave detail is definitely that hot hair balloon! I really really wanted to hop into that but knowing my clumsiness I’ll probably fall face first in and then wouldn’t be able to get back out! Carmen from Devoted to You did the most magnificent job styling this photo and Gloria is just the perfect Dorothy! That cake from Bloom Cake Co looked like a castle and just the most luxurious against that gold backdrop.

We were shooting the tablescape outside and luckily we just finished photographing everything just before it started raining, otherwise all our stationary would be totally wet :(.

Thank you so much for inviting me to come along the shoot! Walking onto the set and see the ridiculous amount of detail and work everyone put in just blew my mind away! Mojo was completely pooped by the end of the shoot, being a model is definitely hard work!
