The first day we shot Christy & Jack’s pre wedding photos, we photographed at a random rice filed in Bali – which was spectacular! But these Bali Ujung Water Palace pre wedding photos are what a Toronto Destination Wedding Photographer dream of! This palace is located in Ubud, and it is a stunning historical architectural structure. It is so large that it requires a half day to explore. We arrived there close to sunset, and we still had one more spot to hit after that, so we unfortunately only had 45 minutes maximum to spend there. The stone structures were nothing like I have seen before. I wish I had a guide here to explain to me the history and story behind this place.
Christy and Jack were very comfortable in front of the camera. They just did their thing, while we flitted about them to capture their moments. Christy’s soft, flowy dress was perfect for the sunset shoot. It looked so dreamy in the soft lighting against the old grey stone structures.
Sunsets seem to be rare in Bali. I’ve noticed that for the two weeks that I was there, I hardly saw the sun dip below the horizon. This was probably one of the very few sunsets I’ve seen there, and I feel very fortunate that we had a chance to capture it.
If I go back to Bali, I definitely would want to revisit this palace and explore the rest of the buildings!
