We celebrated these two beautiful people’s wedding on the same day as Canada’s 150th birthday! YAY! And this day couldn’t have been any more amazing! I love being a Toronto Wedding Photographer because we always get to hang around the most awesome people and visit iconic venues in Toronto such as Osgoode Hall right by Queen and University and Canoe Restaurant Wedding by Oliver and Bonacini by the TD Towers. Osgoode Hall is one of the most beautiful places to photograph in downtown Toronto. And the great thing about it is that it doesn’t require a photo permit. But because of that, it made me a bit nervous as I feared that there would be a lot of wedding parties, Toronto photographers and people especially on Canada Day. To our surprise, WE WERE THE ONLY WEDDING PARTY THERE! Amanda and Dennis were so fortunate! We had a few curious tourists that became our spectators during our photo shoot, but we basically had all this gorgeous space to ourselves! AND the rain only came when we wrapped up the shoot. Though we did get rained on a bit on the way back to the car… But, hey, rain is supposed to be good luck! For the evening, we headed over to core downtown for their Canoe Restaurant Wedding ceremony and dinner (MMMMM DELICIOUSNESSNESSNESSNESS).
Amanda had the most amazing wedding bouquet by Wild North Flowers. It looked so organic and natural, and the colours were so vibrant! This is how I would’ve wanted my own bouquet to be! Take a look at her bridesmaids’ outfits too! They were the most unique, and definitely very original: really cute beaded top paired with a tulle skirt. Totally something that can be worn again too! The groomsmen wore matching Canada Day red socks and their wedding cake was actually a watermelon cake made by JACQ Baked Goods. Seriously, a three tier watermelon cake! I’ve never seen anything like it. And it was paired with giant macarons! YES! GIANT MACARONS!!!! Oh! And their centrepieces were home grown herbs, because these two are the cutest foodies ever (as you can see from their home cooking engagement session). One of my favorite parts of the day was their wedding ceremony. The space was split in half so that they were in the middle, and the guests were on either side of them. On top of that, Kat from Lady Be Good sang as Amanda walked down the aisle!
OMG I almost forgot to mention that they had Minute to Win It games AND a surprise flash mob arranged by their friends!
This Canoe Restaurant Wedding was so memorable and so much fun! Take a look below to see all the goodies. Congrats Amanda and Dennis!!!
