Vivian & Calvin | Tobermory Wedding Anniversary

When Calvin and Vivian contacted me to do their Tobermory Wedding Anniversary photos, my heart definitely skipped a beat! Tobermory is one of my fave places in Ontario! I love beaches, cliffs and adventure and Tobermory is all of these. The hike to Indian Head Cove isn’t hard, it’s actually just a walk in the park but the scenery is just way too beautiful. Although Tobermory is a four hour drive away from Toronto, we should still aim to arrive 2.5 hours before sunset and leave shortly after the sun has set because it gets dark REALLY fast there. There are not street lights or anything, so it can get pretty dangerous driving back out. Everytime I do a Tobermory photo shoot, we would do it in September after the school season has started because otherwise the area would be jam packed with tourists, kids and even the parking lot would be full. It is chillier there but it is really worth it to go. As a Toronto Wedding Photographer, September is our busiest season but I’ll always make the time for a weekday Tobermory photo shoot if the opportunity comes up! I just don’t think there are any other locations in Toronto or Ontario that would have cliffs like these and water as blue. It’s like going to the Caribbean, but just 20 degrees colder haha.
